As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will support the following activities within the QA environment:

  • Supplier Quality Engineer -Clemmons, NC

    TRIGO is looking for a detailed and experienced Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to develop, implement and administer various methods and procedures to ensure product quality. 

    SQE Functions:

    • PFMEA
    • Inspection on bought parts
    • Inspection before shipment
    • Root Cause and Corrective Action
    • Reinforcing of the ATP
    • Knowledge in Transfer of Work
    • Improvement process

     

    ADDED SCOPE:

    Return Processing:

    - Ensure the analysis of returns using the tool '' FAL Rejection Tracker ''

    - Ensure the implementation of corrective and preventive actions

    Security Action Plan Imposed: 

    1) PFMEA

    1. Re-scan existing AMDECs against exported events
    2. Check the relevance of AMDECs using the SLS checklist
    3. Closing action plans in progress or to be launched

     

    2) Reinforced Control on Purchased Parts

    1. Identification of risk components (parts with KC, parts involved in exported non-quality events and current levy rates

             (ex: all parts located on potential escape routes, ...)

    1. Increased sampling frequency up to 100%
    2. Verification of the implementation of corrective actions

     

    3) Reinforced control before shipping

    1. Identification of pre-shipment inspection failures related to non-shipping events exported quality (eg traces of shocks,

             scratches, marking ...)

    1. Implementation of the missing controls through the checklist
    2. Verification of the implementation of corrective actions on detected events by the control

     

    4) Strengthening ATPs

    1. Analysis of exported defects related to ATPs and identification of why there is no had detection
    2. Definition and implementation of the complementary test to be performed beyond ATP.

     

         Medium Term Improvement Plan:

          - Ensure the definition of the improvement plan related to the exported events and the assessment     

             of the supplier's maturity with regard to the 6 axes below pre-defined by

    SLS:

    • Robustness of Conception
    • Robustness of Production
    • Conformity of parts
    • Management of changes
    • Management of suppliers
    • Capacity management

     

    Supplier control:

    - Challenger and ensure the implementation of improvement actions in accordance with the agreed

       deadlines

    - Ensure reporting to the project coordinator

    • Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure Quality Standards are in place.
    • Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
    • Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
    • Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
    • May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
    • May be involved in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.
    • Working knowledge of either electrical or mechanical component, assembly, subsystem and system level concepts.
    • Ensure that Quality and Engineering requirements are met per the Customer Requirements.
    • Managing and supporting the Quality Functions associated to MRB and disposition of parts and materials and attributing RCCA.
    • Heavy emphasis on Process Improvements and Standardizationof Processes.

    Qualifications and Experience: 

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in technical discipline (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, etc.) with 5+ years of Hands-on experience as a Quality Engineering in an Aerospace Manufacturing Environment.  In lieu of a Degree, 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Quality Engineering in an Aerospace Manufacturing Environment
    • Prior experience in areas of Quality Engineering such as: DOE, FMEA, SPC, RCCA, controls plans, material control, process control, systems performance, product evaluation, MSA, metrology, automated measurement and software is preferred.
    • Prior working knowledge and experience with ISO9100 and AS9100
    • Working knowledge and experience with Aircraft Parts and Material Conformity Inspections
    • 3-5 years FAI experience with AS9102 (FAI) Protocol
    • Hands-on inspection experience and ability to use basic inspection tools and equipment (e.g. calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
    • Hands-on experience or working knowledge of Special Processes (i.e., heat treating, welding, NDT)
    • Working knowledge and experience with inspection methods, techniques and protocols.
    • Strong understanding of Engineering Mechanical Processes, Standard Drawings Conventions, Interpreting Drawing Specifications and GD&T
