Mechanic

Provides mechanical services such as inspection, road testing, repair of parts, oil changes, tune ups and other services

Supports and contributes to the company Quality Policies and QMS

This position will report to the local Site Manager/Regional Manager

Responsibilities

Client relationship

  • Customer service and customer problem solving
  • Review work orders and discuss with clients, co-workers, and supervision
  • Advise customer on work performed, general vehicle conditions, and future repair requirements

Operations

  • Inspect motors in operation
  • Perform services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune ups
  • Demonstrates commitment to reduce the risk of workplace accidents
  • Must comply with local and company Health & Safety legislation, laws, and policies

Organization 

  • Assist in ensuring department goals and objectives are met
  • Promote workplace improvements and development

Technical

  • Inspect motors in operation
  • Road test vehicles
  • Test automotive systems and components using electronic/computer or other testing devices to diagnose problems and isolate faults
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts/components of automotive systems including fuel, brake, steering, and suspension systems

Other

  • Other duties as assigned
