Supplier Parts Clearing Support Specialists 

Role Summary

This position will design and implement strategies necessary to ensure a successful new part supplier process that will prevent possible customer complaints in the development process. It will assure the reinforcement of the quality systems of the suppliers during the development of new products. This position is also responsible for managing all the needed steps to obtain customer satisfaction with the purchased parts related to pre-series milestones.  Position will include part problem analysis and review of parts during pre-series to ensure quality and generation levels.

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the initial samples and/or engineering change requests looking for product specification compliance, assuring the planning timelines correspond to the pre-series production vehicles, start of production and serial projects of new products.
  • Audit the product at the pre-series warehouse, making sure that it is specification compliant and the manufacturing process and quality can be granted.
  • Apply methods like DOE, 6 Sigma, CEP (Closed-Ended Problems), etc. to analyze the root causes of complaints.
  • Coordinate with the SQE's the follow-up of projects to achieve the quality requirements and the stability of the new generation parts. Help support needed improvements, based on the results of audits and generation levels.
  • Developing, proposing, coordinating and representing concepts for quality-assuring activity/improvement programs within the pre-series warehouse and pursuing the implementation of executed measures.
  • Developing KPI's and reports for each project tracking quality history, q documents, and generation level for management information.
  • Issue KPM complaints and SIR's for open quality topics
  • Product Audit and Part Clearing process in the Pre-Series warehouse to ensure quality requirements
  • Support production with part related quality topics in regard to pre-series build phases.

 

Qualifications

Required

Preferred

  • 2+ years automotive experience
  • BS Engineering or Quality related or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of quality systems and processes.
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques and statistical methods (i.e. DOE, 6 Sigma, CEP, Fishbone, etc.)
  • Experience at a Tier 1 Supplier or OEM as a Supplier Quality Engineer
  • International experience.
  • Familiar with manufacturing processes associated with electronics, plastics, textiles, and metals
  • Technical Knowledge of OEM specifications/drawings.
  • German and Spanish languages.
