As an effective Warehouse Manager, you will direct the receiving, warehousing and distribution operations.  You will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide variety of products.  Ultimately, you should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.  Provides materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services; supervising staff.  The warehouse manager will be responsible for organizing the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehoused goods, which will include distribution, material and inventory management, and logistics 

Job Description:

The Warehouse Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing warehouse in compliance with company's policies and vision
  • Overseeing receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
  • Setting up layout and ensure efficient space utilization
  • Inventory control
  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Maintains warehouse staff orienting, and training employees.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) (required)
  • 5s (required)
  • Supervision, Safety Management, Developing Standards, Managing Processes, Surveillance Skills, Inventory Control, Reporting Skills, Analyzing Information, Equipment Maintenance, Judgment
  • Proven work experience as a warehouse manager
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Leadership skills and ability manage staff
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills 

Desired Skills and Education:

  • BS degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration preferred 

Required Education (including certifications):

  • High School or GED
