As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will support the following activities within the QA environment:

  • PFMEA
  • Inspection on bought parts
  • Inspection before shipment
  • Root Cause and Corrective Action
  • Reinforcing of the ATP
  • Knowledge in Transfer of Work
  • Improvement process. 

Job Description: 

Return Processing:

  • Ensure the analysis of returns using the tool ''FAL Rejection Tracker''
  • Ensure the implementation of corrective and preventive actions 

Security Action Plan Imposed: 

PFMEA

  • Re-scan existing AMDECs against exported events
  • Check the relevance of AMDECs using the SLS checklist
  • Closing action plans in progress or to be launched

Reinforced Control on Purchased Parts

  • Identification of risk components (parts with KC, parts involved in exported non-quality events and current levy rates (ex: all parts located on potential escape routes)
  • Increased sampling frequency up to 100%
  • Verification of the implementation of corrective actions

Reinforced control before shipping

  • Identification of pre-shipment inspection failures related to non-shipping events exported quality (eg traces of shocks, scratches, marking)
  • Implementation of the missing controls through the checklist
  • Verification of the implementation of corrective actions on detected events by the control

Strengthening ATPs

  • Analysis of exported defects related to ATPs and identification of why there is no had detection
  • Definition and implementation of the complementary test to be performed beyond ATP. 

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of Hands-on experience as a Quality Engineering in an Aerospace Manufacturing Environment.
  • Prior working knowledge and experience with ISO9100 and AS9100
  • Working knowledge and experience with Aircraft Parts and Material Conformity Inspections
  • 3-5 years FAI experience with AS9102 (FAI) Protocol
  • Hands-on inspection experience and ability to use basic inspection tools and equipment (e.g. calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience or working knowledge of Special Processes (i.e., heat treating, welding, NDT)
  • Working knowledge and experience with inspection methods, techniques and protocols.
  • Strong understanding of Engineering Mechanical Processes, Standard Drawings Conventions, Interpreting Drawing Specifications and GD&T
  • Computer proficiency is required
  • 5-7 years' experience hands-on experience with the AS9100 Quality Management Systems Processes, especially in Production, Quality, and logistics
  • Knowledge of or hands on experience (Preferred) with FAA, EAR, and ITAR standards and regulations
  • Experience leading customer audits
  • Strong verbal, written and communication skills
  • Project management, time management, problem solving and organization skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work as an effective team member 

Desired Skills and Education:

  • Prior experience in areas of Quality Engineering such as: DOE, FMEA, SPC, RCCA, controls plans, material control, process control, systems performance, product evaluation, MSA, metrology, automated measurement and software is preferred. 

Required Education (including certifications):

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in technical discipline (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, etc.)
  • In lieu of a Degree, 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Quality Engineering in an Aerospace Manufacturing Environment
